is it normal?

... to still doubt that I'm actually pregnant, even after 3 positive hpts?
... to still run to the bathroom thinking AF has finally showed?
... to have virtually no pregnancy symptoms at 5 weeks?
... to WISH I had morning sickness, or cramps, or heartburn, or something! just so I'd know its real?
... to feel guilty that it happened so quickly for us, when so many wonderful women try for months, and even years?

1. yes - It takes awhile for it to really sink in. Then you hear the heartbeat & it's real. But then you still worry everyday until you can regularly feel the baby moving.
2. yes - I still check tp
3. yes - for most people, symptoms don't start showing up till around the 6-7 week mark.
4. yes - but then you get it & wish that you hadn't wished quite so hard.
& 5. yes - that part doesn't get any easier. It makes me sad to see some of my close friends struggle.
So in synopsis, yes, everything you are feeling is entirely normal. : )
Don't feel guilty at all!!!
I remember checking every day and expecting AF to show up...so exciting when she never did!!
Congrats!!!
I think it's definitely normal. For starters, it is a BIG change in life. I think as humans, we naturally doubt changes, especially ones we consider positive. We continuously expect to wake up from some dream only to find out that we were just dreaming, and that wonderful news was nothing more than a fantasy.
As far as having no symptoms, I've had friends who had the same thing with their first pregnancy. No signs of anything, and yet they were quite healthy and prego :)
And don't feel guilty. Things happen when it is time for them to happen. Sometimes, God chooses not to bless a family with a child at a certain time, because for whatever reason, the time is not right. It just happens, that the time was right for you and your husband :) Don't feel guilty, instead, give praise that the achievement is there, and you have the joy of bringing another life into this world :)
